WHO WE ARE
A third generation real estate investor, Angela has hands-on construction experience and intricate knowledge of landlord-tenant fundamentals. Angela grew up helping her father in the family rentals. At age five, she was responsible for washing electrical face plates and sanitizing the lower cabinets in the kitchen. By her teens, she was helping him with painting, plumbing, and electrical on the rentals and his side jobs. She grew up experiencing the process and efforts necessary to maintain and rent a residential property. Renting a unit from a large corporate firm in 1998, broadened her knowledge by providing the tenant's contrasting experience of the rental relationship. Suffering through two years of poor property management, which included bathroom construction lasting over 3 months, a broken building fire alarm that would sound in the middle of the night, and unmaintained building locks which led to a robbery, Angela's tenant perspective created a desire to educate herself on the detailed intricacies of landlord-tenant laws, and exposed to her the property manager's shortcomings and liability. Subsequently, she became more involved in her father's business to ensure that he didn't make the same mistakes. Not satisfied with the product her father was providing or the revenue it produced, she recognized opportunity for more. Her contribution increased over the years, and in 2009, while still working full-time in corporate America, she took over the complete management of the properties. In 2010, Angela presented her father with a business plan that would increase equity and double revenue. Managing every aspect of capital improvements on one property, Angela delivered a 92% ROI in 40 months\. In the following 4 years, she repeated the process 4 more times. The rennovated properties consisted of new hardware, doors, cabinetry, plumbing, floors and granite counter tops. With the commitment to be responsive and do her part to maintain the luxury of these properties, Angela holds the expectation that tenants will do their part to maintain it as well. She conducts her business transparently and advises applicants of this expectation from the start. Corrections and appropriate actions are taken immediately when this agreement is broken. Now, nearly 13 years later, the family business has realized a 96% growth in reveue.
Angela utilizes skills from all aspects of her life, and focuses on efficiency in the marketing and management of the properties, keeping chaos and expenses down and tenant satisfaction and profits up.
Over the years, Angela has created a balanced hybrid system of uniformity and customization that allows her to streamline the work while still delivering a personal touch. She understands how to be profitable and still conduct business fairly and with integrity. Angela conducts business honestly with a philosophy that everyone should benefit and nobody should ever walk away feeling cheated. Because of this, she has built a foundation of staunch vendors and a portfolio of steadfast tenants.
After her tax accountant encouraged her to provide property management service to other property owners, she recognized the value of her abilities and decided to secure her broker's license.
